The research department for Cyber-Physical Systems of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) at the site Bremen is working on the technical development of intelligent, networked systems. The department is directed by Prof. Dr. Rolf Drechsler. The focus of the research and development is on safety, security and correctness of these systems, which continue to grow in complexity, and which are used in smartphones, cars, and airplanes, amongst others. Scientists are closely collaborating with the Group of Computer Architecture at the University of Bremen.
DFKI, with its sites in Kaiserslautern, Saarbrücken and Bremen as well as a project office in Berlin, is the largest research center for artificial intelligence in the world.
