PQC4Med
Securing Health Care Data in the Post-Quantum Age
In PQC4MED solutions for cryptoagility in the field of embedded systems in medical technology are developed. The focus is on solutions that can withstand attackers who have access to (potentially later available) efficient, large-scale quantum computers.

The aim of the joint project PQC4MED is to develop solutions that ensure the long-term security of embedded systems in medical technology. The project team pursues a systemic approach: Both the hardware and the associated software must enable the exchange of cryptographic procedures in order to counter threats such as those posed by quantum computers. Currently discussed quantum computer resistant signature and encryption methods are being evaluated and implemented in exemplary fashion. In addition to adaptable hardware and software, the security of the update mechanism itself will be considered by the project team. The solution will be implemented in a medical technology use case.
